Late Sunday night, for example, Assistant City Editor Tony Prado heard on the police scanners that a man was hit by a train in eastern San Luis Obispo. After getting authorities to confirm the incident, Prado immediately posted a news story on our Web site at 10:45 p.m. This morning, we’ve already reported online that Sheriff’s deputies are searching for someone who shot at an occupied home in Nipomo last night and that the city of SLO has hired a new transit manager. In addition, we’ve posted the full incident report from SLO’s police department.
